Located in northern Spain and bordering with France, this region is most popular for its running of the bulls every July in the capitol of Pamplona. The northern part of the region mostly speaks "Basque", while the southern part speaks mostly "Castilian". This region is also know for its large wine industry, as it also borders with "La Rioja" to the south. There are many medieval bridges, castles and churches throughout the villages, as well as kilometers of old cobblestone streets. Weather in this region is cooler than most in Spain and its kitchen is simple, with roasted meats, fish from the Ebro river, and white asparagus that are enjoyed throughout the country, especially during the spring time.
